Pin'wheeled'

Inspired by the positive comments I got for the border of a calendar that I had created using punches, I thought of doing it once again and try to improvise it!! Here is my card, with all handmade embellishments :)

I enjoy making these embellishments. I wanted to try a butterfly for a long time. So this time I did it finally, I drew a butterfly and cut it and drew a few lines as necessary.

The rose is also handmade. I had made it long back but was waiting for the right card to use it.

Pinwheels :) These are also handmade.

And here is the handmade doily and the frame using the punches.

So how do you like it?? Please let me know your comments and feedback.

And a request :) Most of you would have known that there is a contest hosted by Itsy Bitsy in Facebook. I have also shared my project there. Please vote for it here if you like it. You can see the project in my blog  here.
Those of you who have voted already, thank you so much!!

Calendar - July 2013

Here is my page for July 2013 (yes!! after March, I jumped to July, for no obvious reasons!) for the calendar that I'm making (To know more about it, start from my previous post). I tried to make doilies with my punches and here are the results :)

I used the same pattern paper throughout. I'm not sure if this can be called shabby-chic.

Calendar - March 2013

I thought of making a desk calendar for my husband in December last year. But somehow I got busy and was in short of ideas ;) to do that. After seeing Sindhu's calendar I got inspired :) and started doing it again. I don't think I'll be able to post more than 1 page in a day, but here comes my page for March which I completed a few days back.

I used the punches (still experimenting with it!!) to make the border of the calendar. I love the way it has come out!!

Crystal Danglers

I made 2 pairs of crystal danglers - 1 pink and 1 purple - to match a few of my salwars.
The purple one is a simple design.

The pink one is a butterfly :) and I love the way it dangles from my ear :)

Monochromatic Tag

Today is my brother's birthday. So I wanted to make tag. I wanted to make it simple. So I thought of making it mono-chromatic. Here is a picture of it.

My brother is a mechanical engineer. So I thought of adding a few gear wheels as embellishments. I used  few punch outs also. Here is a close-up of the gear wheel.

And a small birthday note :)

Please let me know your feedback and suggestions :)

Gate-fold Wedding Card

I started using my punches and I'm not able to stop :)
So here comes my next card, heavily 'punched' :D
This is a 'Congratulations' card that I made for a wedding. This is a little modified version of gate-fold.

The flowers are hand-made. The flourishes (I guess, it is called that) are made using the 'negative' punches of  one of my punch.

The inner card has a lacy border and I have left it blank for some personal message. The golden twine is from an old wedding invitation ;)

I'm submitting it to the following challenges:

'Punch'ed tags

I recently bought some punches (my first!!) and was waiting to use them. So I made a tag and embellished it using the punches in a different way!!

I used an old invitation (I liked the color - light cream!!) as the CS. I used a border punch and cut it to pieces and stuck two together to form a butterfly like pattern. I used this as embellishment.

Then I punched out the border in another piece of paper and wrote the verse "All things were made by HIM".

Nupur's Giveaway

Please do take a look at this.

Always in my Heart

This month is 'Love' month. What better message about love, other than I Corinthians 13? So, I thought of adding this message in this card.
This is an accordion-fold card.

I've used the pattern-paper to create a pattern. All the embellishments are hand-made by me. (My husband is a manager and loves football ;) ).

All the messages inside the card are from I Corinthians 13. I've used Lili of the Valley's Magical Floral Corners stamp to fill the 3 hearts (black and white) and on the card.

I've left some space for any personal message :)
