Hugs To You

Hello everyone!! Here's a card that I made recently!

I recently won a challenge at Inspired By Stamping and I bought the Australian Nature stamp set with the GC. Thank you Joanna!! I love this orchid image from the set. I stamped it on a piece of regular cardstock and watercolored it with distress ink ripe persimmon and Hero arts Lime green ink. I should say that I'm kind of liking watercoloring on regular card stock because I feel that it gives me more control. Of course, I should take care not to use too much water, but it's been fun trying it out. I used distress ink broken china for giving a light shadow around the flowers. I also inked the edges of the die cut panel with broken china ink.

I used the sentiment from STAMPlorations - VIGNETTE: Art Deco Border Builders.

Thinking of You

Hello everyone!! I was doing some coloring this month to join in Kathy's 30 day coloring challenge. Though I'm not able to join in everyday, I try to spend some time coloring. So you might see quite a few cards this month. I'm sharing a card that I made today.

I stamped the STAMPlorations - Dogwood stamp repeatedly on watercolor card stock and gold embossed it. I watercolored it with distress ink spun sugar.

I gold embossed the sentiment 'thinking of you' from Winnie & Walter - The Big, The Bold and You on vellum. I also gold embossed the edge of the watercolor card stock. I mounted the panel on pink card stock.

Thanks for stopping by. I love reading your comments, so please keep them coming.

Pink Azaleas

Hello everyone!! I wanted to share a card that I made recently.

I used the Power Poppy - Azaleas stamp and colored it with pencils. This is the first time in many years that I have used color pencils. I think the details on the stamp image itself makes coloring a bit easier.

The panel and the die cuts are cut on my cricut. I added a few pink rhinestones on the die cuts.

Thanks for stopping by. Do let me know your thoughts on the card.

Celebrating Your Love

Hello everyone!! It's time for the mid-month inspiration here at Where The HeART Is challenge. Our theme for this month is Love. Here's a CAS card that I made to inspire you.

I used a hand cut heart stencil and stamped the small flowers and leaves from Winnie & Walter - In Bloom: Hollie's Festive Florals  using distress ink ripe persimmon & broken china, Hero Arts dark quartz, lime green & lemon yellow, VersaMagic ChalkInk sea breeze inks.

I used the sentiment from Just Rite Stamps - Ever After Antique labels one and stamped it on the center of the heart with black ink.

On Your Wedding

Hello everyone!! I made a card today that I w anted to share with you all.

This card was inspired by a wreath I made for a wedding. I don't have a picture to share with you all. I used stocking flowers (something like these) and leaves for one side of the heart and for the other half, I used golden strings. I drew a rough outline of a heart with a pencil. To start with, I wanted the banner to be on the front, so I gold embossed the banner from Winnie & Walter - The Big, the Bold and the Extras first. I took the words 'on your wedding' from the same set and assembled tham so that it would fit into the banner (I had to bend the 'wedding' to match the curves of the banner - you can see this post where I did the same)Then I stamped the small Azalea flowers from the Power Poppy - Azaleas stamp set repeatedly on one half of the heart and gold embossed it. The other half of the heart, I traced with versamark pen and gold embossed it.

I used distress ink ripe persimmon to watercolor on the flowers. This is not a watercolor paper. I used Georgia Pacific 110 lb paper from Walmart. But it did good for watercoloring. I took care not to use too much water and used only little for blending. The paper didn't warp. For the leaves I used distress inks crushed olives and squeezed lemonade. For the banner I used Tsukineko VersaMagic chalk ink - sea breeze.

So what do you think of this card?

Persian Motifs

Hello everyone!! I'm here to share a card that I made recently. I recently got a few stamp sets from Altenew!! I've been waiting to play with them for a while and finally got a chance to ink them up. Here's what I made:

I used the Persian Motifs stamp set and gold embossed it on watercolor paper. Most of the time, mainly due to my laziness, I try to color with my markers. I wanted to try watercolors with this image, right from the time I saw this card by Jennifer McGuire :) I used distress inks Broken china and bundled sage for watercoloring. I really enjoyed watercoloring this piece.

I gold embossed the sentiment 'thanks' from Winnie & Walter - The Big, the Bold and You. I did not have any card base that matched this blue. So I inked a white card base with broken china and adhered the water colored panel in an angle.

This is one of the pieces I colored for Kathy's 30 day coloring challenge. You can see what I color everyday on my Instagram.

Thanks With Roses

Hello everyone!! I'm here to share a card that I made today.

As many of you might already know, Kathy's 30 day Coloring challenge is on. You can see more details here. It's about spending a few minutes each day to color images. I decided to try the no-line coloring with the Winnie & Walter roses. Those of you following me on Instagram might have already seen these roses. I stamped the roses with Distress ink ripe persimmon and colored them with my markers.

For the background, I inked a piece of white card stock with distress inks tumbled glass, broken china and evergreen bough. The sentiment 'thanks' is from Winnie & Walter - The Big, the Bold and You stamp set. I added a few sequins that I got from Winnie &Walter along with my stamps.

On Your Wedding

Hello everyone!! I'm here to share a card that I made today. Many of you might know Winnie & Walter Stamps. They are celebrating their 2nd Birthday (belated) Bash this month. Winnie & Walter stamps is one of the first few stamp companies that I knew and I've been following them almost from the beginning. I'm happy to take part in their celebration by making a few cards (hopefully!!).

Here's what I made today inspired by Taheerah's inspiration pic:

I used the Mini Scenery: Do You See What I See? stamp for the background and gold embossed it on black cardstock. I gold embossed a few roses from The Big, the Bold and Extras and water colored them. For the flowers, I used Distress Ink Tattered rose (I smushed the ink pad on my acrylic block and picked it up with my brush) and for the leaves I used Yasutomo Pearlescent Watercolor - it has a light shimmer to it. I mounted the flowers and leaves on foam tape to give some dimension.

I gold embossed the wavy banner from The Big, the Bold and Extras on a piece of black card stock. I assembled the sentiments and gold embossed it inside the banner. I had to bend the 'wedding' to go with the curve of the banner. Check this video from Kristina Werner where she shows how to bend the stamp. I used the same technique. I used foam tape on the banner to give it a dimensional look.

I'm happy with this card. What do you think?

And here's wishing Winnie & Walter many more successful years to come!!
